Event
Jovian Rare Earth and Magnet Expo
Hosted by the Ganymede Magnetics Foundry, this expo brings together everyone who buys, sells or makes things from neodymium, dysprosium and the other rare earths that go into motors and generators.
Seismic Survey Lead Sunniva Okafor presents the survey behind the Galileo Regio Rare Earths deposit: how Pickaxe Survey Drone magnetometry and Thumper Seismic Mapper profiles traced a rock-rich layer averaging 1,200 g/t neodymium beneath the dark terrain. Auction Director Inês Carvalho-Roy then explains how the block will be sold and what reserve the Guild expects.
The exhibition floor features magnet makers, separation chemists and equipment vendors. The Guild's stand displays core and pit samples from Ganymede.
Guild members attending the expo can join a guided visit to the Galileo Regio survey area on the final day, travelling out by Wren Microlifter. Places on the visit are limited to thirty.
