Rift Valley Rare Earth Cooperative

Founded 2160 Website

The Rift Valley Rare Earth Cooperative was established in 2160 by motor and magnet workshops in Africa that wanted secure access to neodymium and dysprosium. Terrestrial deposits had grown scarce and expensive, so the Cooperative began buying from off-world prospectors and today sources most of its rare earths from Mars.

The Cooperative operates three Lodeseeker Prospector Rovers on the Tharsis flank and part-owns a Gravwell Gradiometer Array, a fleet worth about 32.7 million credits. Its rover crews were trained by Kofi Mensah-Hart at the guild's Tharsis camp, and the gravity array is flown aboard a guild Valkyrie Survey Corvette by pilot Amaru Condori when Cooperative surveys are scheduled.

The Cooperative is the leading bidder for the Tharsis Dysprosium Dykes, where carbonatite assays 310 g/t dysprosium and 2,400 g/t neodymium. It is waiting on an exploration licence and has paid for early access to the Tharsis Seismic Volume. Apprentice Master Wiremu Tane hosts Cooperative trainees on his Mars field days.
