Jovian Helium-3 Consortium
The Jovian Helium-3 Consortium was formed in 2163 by a group of fuel refiners who saw that the outer system's ships would one day need far more helium-3 than lunar regolith could supply. It buys helium-3 from gas skimmers and regolith processors and sells pressed fusion pellets to shipping operators across the Jovian moons.
The Consortium has become a major backer of Ferrovane's outer-moon work. It owns seven Cryo Ice-Core Samplers and four packs of Swarm Prospecting Beacons, worth around 29.3 million credits together, and lends them to guild crews in exchange for first refusal on any helium-3 claim they stake. Its biggest bet so far is the Valhalla Helium-3 Cold Traps on Callisto, where regolith holds 18 ppb helium-3; the Consortium is funding a pilot extraction plant there.
Helium-3 Prospector Paulo Teixeira is the Consortium's main contact in the guild, and he often joins Consortium crews aboard a Nimbus Gas Skimmer to sample Jupiter's upper atmosphere. Radiation Safety Officer Sora Lindgren advises on crew rotations when Consortium teams work near Io.
