Ceres Free Claimholders' Mutual

Founded 2167 Website

Ceres Free Claimholders' Mutual was founded in 2167, three years after the guild itself, by independent prospectors who could not afford their own survey gear. Members pay a modest annual fee and in return can borrow equipment from a shared pool, file claims through the Mutual and get legal help in boundary disputes.

The pool is impressive. The Mutual owns 900 Claimstake Survey Markers, thirty Pickaxe Survey Drones and 44 Tether Anchor Kits, a combined investment of about 227 million credits that lets a solo prospector stake, survey and anchor to a rock just like a large company. Members book a Wren Microlifter or a Basilisk Salvage Tug through the Mutual's dispatch desk.

The Mutual holds claim FV-0219, the Kerwan Rhodium Vein on Ceres, which assays 6.3 g/t rhodium and 9.1 g/t ruthenium at depths between 600 and 1,400 metres. Claims Registrar Nadia El-Amin works closely with the Mutual's legal team, and Guildmaster Halvard Renko began his own career as one of its members.
