Ironmonger Field Refinery Commissioning on the Ferric Twins

The Ferric Twins metal binary gets a second Ironmonger Field Refinery, doubling capacity on the Guild's richest metallic claim. The unit was hauled out in the hold of a Leviathan Ore Hauler and nudged onto the larger asteroid by a Basilisk Salvage Tug, then pinned in place with Tether Anchor Kits.

Refinery Superintendent Maren Adebayo-Cruz will take the 8 MW fission core to power and run the first carbonyl batch live. Charter captain Dariusz Hollen describes the delicate delivery, which had to match the binary's 31-hour orbit.

The ceremony is broadcast across the Guild network. A limited number of guests may attend in person aboard the Guild's support ship.

Once at full output, the two refineries together will process enough metal to recover about 1.2 tonnes of iridium and 4 tonnes of platinum a year. Lessees at Vesta Crucible Refining Combine will receive the platinum-group residue at Vesta.
