Vesta Crucible Refining Combine
Vesta Crucible Refining Combine has smelted Belt ore since 2158 and is today the largest independent metals processor between Mars and Jupiter. Its main works sit on the rim of the Rheasilvia basin on Vesta, just a few kilometres from the guild's own Toolworks, and the two organisations share a long history of swapping engineers and spare parts.
The Combine leases three Ironmonger Field Refineries from Ferrovane, a commitment worth 174 million credits at list price, and operates five Sieve Ore-Sorting Rigs that cost a further 49 million credits. Rather than ship raw rock across the Belt, Crucible positions its refineries right beside the working face, often with the help of a Basilisk Salvage Tug, and sends only finished concentrate home aboard chartered Leviathan Ore Haulers.
Crucible is the principal offtaker for the Ferric Twins Metal Binary under claim FV-0650, buying iridium at 9.4 g/t and platinum at 31 g/t. Refinery Superintendent Maren Adebayo-Cruz works with Crucible crews on every new Ironmonger commissioning, and Ore-Sorting Engineer Eamon Dubois tunes their Sieve classifiers. The Combine also takes a share of nickel-iron tailings for structural steel sold to Ceres builders.
