Why the Toolworks built the Cryo Ice-Core Sampler

Members kept asking for a Cryogenic ice-core sampler that was tougher, lighter and easier to fix in the field. The Cryo Ice-Core Sampler, in use since January 2182, is the Toolworks answer.

Only 2 operators are needed to run it, and setup takes a crew of 3. The Plutonium-238 radioisotope generator was chosen for reliability in vacuum, dust and deep cold.

Every unit ships with a spares kit and calibration notes. Send feedback to the Rheasilvia Toolworks; the next revision depends on it.
