Equipment spotlight: Spectra Assay Lance

The Spectra Assay Lance is a Handheld LIBS spectrometer designed and built by the Ferrovane Prospecting Guild. It has been helping crews find iridium, platinum-group metals and rare earths since February 2181.

A standard deployment uses 1 crew, with 1 trained operators at the controls. It draws its power from a Solid-state lithium cell.

Members can lease or buy units through the Guild. Training is available at the Rheasilvia Toolworks on Vesta.
