TetherPlan Anchoring Calculator
On an asteroid smaller than about 50 kilometres, nothing stays put unless you tie it down. TetherPlan is the calculator Guild riggers use before every landing to work out how many Tether Anchor Kits a job needs, where to place them and how much load each can bear.
Feed it a shape model, spin rate and estimated cohesion and it returns anchor load estimates against the kit's 3,200 kg rated holding load and 18-metre penetration. For tumbling bodies it generates a spin-down schedule for a Basilisk Salvage Tug, and its rubble cohesion models flag regolith too loose to hold an anchor at all.
Anchoring rigger Tavita Fale maintains the project. It is MIT-licensed, a single small program with no dependencies, and runs on a wrist terminal.
TetherPlan's numbers are deliberately conservative: it assumes the weakest plausible regolith unless a rigger has measured otherwise. Every Guild accident report since 2180 has been used to refine its models, and the Hollow Sister campaign was planned entirely with it.
