Working Safely on Io: Radiation Webinar

Prospecting on Io means working inside Jupiter's fiercest radiation belt. In this one-hour webinar, Radiation Safety Officer Sora Lindgren explains how the Guild keeps its people alive on claim FV-0703, the Loki Margin Scandium Crust.

She covers dosimetry, shift planning, the shielded habitat design and the strict limit of 40 surface hours per person per year. Sora also explains why the Guild prefers fast sampling with the Spectra Assay Lance and remote sorting with the Sieve Ore-Sorting Rig to long hand-sampling campaigns.

The webinar is free and open to all; it counts towards the Guild's mandatory radiation awareness refresher for outer-moons crews. Questions can be submitted in advance.

The session ends with a live question-and-answer period. Contractors working with Io Scandium Works are especially encouraged to attend, since the same exposure rules apply to everyone on the claim.
