Imani Oduya

Chief Assayer Assay Laboratory

Imani Oduya runs the guild's central assay laboratory at Rheasilvia, Vesta, where her team of 26 chemists processes around 41,000 samples a year. Every grade quoted in a Ferrovane auction catalogue, from 14.2 g/t iridium at the Cinder Tor lode to 6.3 g/t rhodium on Ceres, passes through her bench before it is published.

Oduya co-wrote the calibration standards bundled with the AssayKit LIBS Toolkit and insists that field readings from a Spectra Assay Lance are treated as screening values until a fire-assay check confirms them. Prospectors grumble about the wait, but buyers pay a premium for lots carrying her signature. She trains new assayers in two-month rotations and keeps a reference shelf of 900 certified rock powders she calls the library.
