Halvard Renko

Halvard Renko has chaired the Guild Council as Guildmaster since 2180, the fourth person to hold the office since 31 freelance prospectors founded Ferrovane on Ceres in 2164. He spent nineteen years staking claims himself, mostly nickel-iron rocks in the inner Belt, and still carries a battered Spectra Assay Lance to every council session as a reminder of where the guild's money comes from.

Renko negotiated the 2179 agreement that gave Halcyon Stellar Works a 30 per cent stake in exchange for a reliable supply of hulls, which is how the guild came to fly four chartered Leviathan Ore Haulers and six Valkyrie Survey Corvettes. Today he speaks for roughly 2,300 member-prospectors from the Occator guildhall and opens every quarterly Ceres Claims Auction in person.
